Protect the conductors from excessively high/low temperatures and from possible vibrations or impacts.
6.2.1 Lifting station with one single-phase pump (without control panel)
The single-phase pump is equipped with a control float, motor protector and power cord with plug. To
operate the pump, insert the plug in the power outlet.
Make sure that the plug and corresponding outlet are visible and accessible in case the power supply
needs to be disconnected.
The length of the cord between the float and the point of attachment can be modified to adjust the on/off
level.
In any case, the minimum level of the liquid must not be lower than the pump's suction port or the pump
will de-prime.
The electric pump has a thermal protection incorporated in the motor (motor protector). Be
careful because the pump might restart unexpectedly once the motor winding has cooled down.
On pumps with 1.1 kW rated output, the external condenser holder is equipped with a switch located
near the plug.
For further information, refer to chapter 12.
6.2.2 Lifting station with one single-phase pump (with control panel)
The single-phase electric pump and the control float must be connected to the control panel. The float
switch is normally electromechanical type (see chapter 5.5). The related electric cord can be threaded
through the seal on the cover, alongside the pump's power cord, or you can use one of the blind holes in
the upper section of the basin and one of the cable glands provided with the lifting station.
float switch to a side wall of the basin using one of the fastening brackets provided with the lifting station.
Make sure that the seal is correctly positioned on the outside to prevent any spills from the basin.
st the cord, initially, so that the length that is free to swing, including the float, is no longer than 260 milli-
meters. Later, when the unit is started for the first time, the length of the cord can be adjusted based on
the actual requirements of the system.
than the pump's suction port or the pump will de-prime.
Read the instructions / wiring diagrams for the electric panel before proceeding with the installa-
tion.
Mount the electric panel on a wall or other support. Adjust the thermal relay to the value of the rated cur-
rent of the pump.
The electric pump has a thermal protection incorporated in the motor (motor protector) which
could cut in before the thermal relay (if any) in the control panel. Be careful because the pump
might restart unexpectedly once the motor winding has cooled down.
On pumps with 1.1 kW rated output, the external condenser holder is equipped with a switch located
near the plug.
Before performing any operations, make sure that the switch for the condenser holder and the
panel switch are open.
If you require a high level alarm (warning that the liquid level inside the basin is too high), you have to in-
stall an additional float switch and an audible or visual alarm. The float switch is normally electromecha-
nical type (see chapter 5.5). The related electric cord can be threaded through the seal on the cover,
alongside the pump's power cord, or you can use one of the blind holes in the upper section of the basin
and one of the cable glands provided with the lifting station. Secure the float switch to a side wall of the
basin using one of the fastening brackets provided with the lifting station. It must be secured at a higher
point compared to the float that controls the pump. Make sure that the seal is correctly positioned on the
outside to prevent spills from the basin.
