IV. GETTING STARTED
Before any intervention on product, ensure that switch is off and plug is
disconnected from its power source.
4.1- Unpacking
Remove product from its packaging.
Check that tool and accessories are not damage.
Content (Fig.2):
1 handle; 1 extension; 1 heating tool;
1 weeding bell; 1 bbq nozzle;
1 instructions manual
4.2- Assembly of the handle
Insert the connection tip (4a) into the connection port (4b).
Insert the connection tip (15) into tool's connection port (6).
Ensure the whole assembly is securely tightened.
To remove the handle: press the release button (7) and then pull out the handle.
4.3- Inserting or removing the bell/nozzle
WARNING: Ensure that both the bell/nozzle and hot air duct are cooled down.
- To remove the existing bell/nozzle:
Twist the bell/nozzle to unlock it and then pull it out firmly from the hot air duct.
- To install a bell/nozzle:
Insert bell (11) or nozzle (13) on hot air duct (10) and twist it until it is centered and properly locked.
4.4- Extension cord
Use only an extension cord that is labelled for outdoor use.
Use an extension cord of the right dimensions to carry the power required by the machine.
A cord whose capacity is too low will cause a loss of
voltage at the machine.
Keep the extension cord clear of the application area.
Make sure that the cord does not get caught on anything
during application. Check the extension cord frequently.
Replace a cord that is cut or damaged.
The extension cord can become detached from the machine
cable during use. To avoid this, use the cord support (Fig.3).
4.5- Switch On/Off
The switch (8) has 3 positions:
- « 0 » (OFF),
- « I »
(ON - low temperature 50°C)
- « II » (ON - high temperature 600°C).
Note: the air flow is 500 l/min in both positions.
To start the tool: set switch on requested position I or II.
To stop the tool: set the switch on position I for approx. 30-45s to cool
down unit and then put the switch on the OFF position.
