Function

2.1.1.
Automatic ride-height control
After the ignition is turned on, the control electronics controls the factory-set ride height on the rear axle. This is
independent from the load condition.
During driving, the distance between chassis and road surface is kept constant.
The control electronics reacts to:
Movements of the left and right rear wheel
Level sensors provide information separately.
Vehicle current speed
Information is provided by the speed sensor.
If wheel loads change due to loading/unloading, the control electronics reacts accordingly by aerating/deaerating
the spring bellows on the concerned axle side.
Dynamic wheel load variations, or caused by unevenness of the road surface, are recognised - no control pro-
cess is triggered. So air consumption and shifting frequency of the system can be minimised.
2.1.2.
Control indicator
The control indicator in the instrument panel informs the driver of the current operating state of the AL-KO air
suspension system.

Safety

Caution!
Faults / errors in the air suspension system can compromise driving stability.
This can cause the vehicle to skid and/or swerve.
In case of fault, immediately drive - carefully and at a lower speed - to an authorised workshop.
The factory-set sensor linkages should not be changed!
In case of damage to the linkages, immediately visit an authorised workshop.
