Coupling and uncoupling with the Z21
▪ Place locomotive and if needed the wagon(s) on a straight section of track.
▪ Set the appropriate locomotive (default setting "03"), switch off the coupling via function button
"F1/F2" (switching mechanism down). Gently move the locomotive toward the wagon(s) until the
couplings on locomotive and wagon interlink.
▪ Locomotive and wagon only couple automatically when the locomotive digital couplings is set before
to "closed" (switching mechanism down).
GB
▪ If the digital coupling is set to "open" (switching mechanism up), the locomotive and wagon will not
couple and wagons can only be pushed, not pulled.
▪ For uncoupling press the function button "F1/F2". The switching mechanism will raise, the coupling of
the wagon unclamp and the locomotive can drive away. After uncoupling it is recommended to press
"F1/F2" again (set the switching mechanism "down") to couple again.
For the use of the digital coupling this locomotive is equipped with a special decoder. It is not
allowed the exchange it with an other decoder. In the event of damage of the locomotive or the
coupling you should send the locomotive to your dealer or the ROCO Service.
Using and programming of the decoder is described in the enclosed decoder instruction manual.
