When using an alternating current locomotive (AC), additionally inspect the level po-
sition of the coupling in the resting position before commencing the installation work in order
to ensure that it is at a height which suffices in order to safely cross over higher point contacts,
especially in the vicinity of points!
When laying the cables of the digital couplings,
electrically, the left cable in the front view with the tin-plated end is connected to the "green" or "purple"
terminal/wire and right cable with the copper coloured insulation is connected to the "blue" terminal/
wire:
uninsulated to thel„blue"terminal/wire
insulation and tin-plated to the "purple"terminal/wire
Please note that the terminal on the solder PCB is not to have any other electrical connection
with other electric terminals or conductive parts in the vehicle! Use the enclosed double-sided
adhesive tape!

b) as regards the guiding, ensure that
▪ the required swinging out movements are not impaired by kinematics or coupling accommodations
▪ the required swinging out movements are not impaired by pivoted bogies, leading and trailing axles
▪ no collision or starting risks can be caused by the moving parts of the drive, especially the transmis-
sion joint or centrifugal masses
▪ the wires cannot be frayed in time due to sharp edges or burring

Coupling 1 uninsulated
Coupling 2 uninsulated
