FUEL AND FUEL SYSTEM
Diesel oil is a fuel type used in diesel engines. Diesel oils
sold in gas stations as rural and EURO fuel vary in terms of
density. EURO fuel is prepared as per European standards.
Rural fuel is prepared as per TSE standards.
Sulphur, i.e. sulphate in the fuel combines with the oxygen in
the air and with the hydrogen in the fuel and forms HSSO4
(sulphuric acid) during combustion. This acid has wearing
properties for new generation (EURO) diesel engines.
As the engines used in tractors comply with EURO standards,
the fuel used shall also be EURO fuel.
Cleanliness of the fuel is one of the factors that affect
engine operation and that increase the service life of the
fuel system.
