Draw Mechanism with Adjustable Play
Draw mechanism with adjustable play is used for double-
axle equipment, agricultural implements and trailers. As
it would bring too much load on the draw beam and cause
ramping, it is not possible to use single-axle trailers with
this draw mechanism.
- Draw bar connection point is used by rotating it up and
down.
- Draw beam can have a lateral play to the right and left
(Fig. 3). A pin as shown in "D" (Fig. 2) shall be installed while
towing the equipment in fixed position or while carrying a
load with the trailer.
- The length of draw beam against the equipment may get
longer or shorter as shown in Fig. 1. Pin "C" shown in Fig. 3
may be removed and adjusted by installing it to holes "A".
Warning:
adjustment levers do not have lengths that may endanger safe
operation or movement when you are attaching a trailer or
equipment.
Although having the draw hook higher shall increase the
drawing capacity of the tractor, it may also cause dangerous
ramping. For this reason, ensure that the trailer connection is
made for the proper position of the draw (Z) bar.
Avoid drawing excessively loaded trailers or more than trailers
attached to each other.
Avoid abruptly taking off to prevent ramping while drawing a
trailer or equipment. Always brake the trailer first and then the
tractor.
