WARNING!
Dishwasher detergent is caustic. Store out of the reach of
children.
Concentrated detergent
There are two types of detergent, depending on their chemical
composition.
Conventional, alkaline detergent with caustic components.
Low alkaline concentrated detergent with natural enzymes.
Wash programme 'Normal' in combination with concentrated
detergent produces less environmental pollution and is kinder to
the dishes.
Detergent tablets
Different detergent tablets dissolve at different rates. Some
detergent tablets will not manage to completely dissolve during
short programmes. Select long programmes with detergent
tablets to ensure that all the residual detergent disappears.
Filling detergent
A. Detergent compartment for main wash
B. Detergent compartment for prewash
FIG.
6
Press the catch to open the lid. Fill with the required amount of
detergent, close the lid and press to lock
Dosing
Fill with detergent before each wash cycle, according to the
instructions in the programme table. The dishwasher uses
less detergent and rinse-aid than conventional dishwashers.
Usually one tbsp of detergent is enough for normal dishes.
More dirty dishes require more detergent. Always add the
detergent immediately before starting the appliance,
otherwise it can get wet and not fully dissolve.
Recommendations
Only wash items that are dishwasher-safe.
Use detergent that is kind to the dishes. Contact the
detergent manufacturer for further information.
Some items should be washed at the lowest possible
temperature.
Some types of glasses can become dull after having been
washed many times in a dishwasher.
Items made of silver or aluminium tend to become
discoloured in dishwashers.
Enamel can be bleached by repeated washing in a
dishwasher.
Do not take the dishes out from the dishwasher before they
have cooled – dishes are sensitive to knocks when hot.

Products that should not be washed
in a dishwasher.
Cutlery with wooden, bone, porcelain or pearl handles
Non heat-resistant plastic objects
Non heat-resistant cutlery with glued parts
Glued objects
Objects made of pewter or copper
Crystal glasses
Objects made of iron or steel that is not stainless
Dishes, chopping-boards etc. made of wood
Objects made of synthetic fibres
RINSE-AID
Rinse-aid is added to the water during the final rinsing to prevent
stains and stripes on the dishes. This also helps to dry the dishes
better, because the water runs off easier. The dishwasher is
intended for liquid rinse-aid. The rinse-aid container is placed
inside the lid, beside the detergent compartments. Open the lid
and pour rinse-aid into the container until the level indicator goes
completely dark. The container holds approx. 110 ml.
Function of rinse-aid
Rinse-aid is added to the water during the final rinsing to prevent
stains and stripes on the dishes.
NOTE:
Only use rinse-aid intended for dishwashers. Never fill the
rinse-aid container with washing-up liquid, dishwasher
detergent or the equivalent, this can damage the appliance.
Level indicator
If there is no status lamp for rinse-aid on the control panel the
level of rinse-aid is indicated by the colour of the level indicator
C beside the lid. The indicator is completely dark when the
container is full. The dark part becomes smaller when the level of
rinse-aid drops. Never allow the level to drop below 1/4 full.
