SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• Always follow these basic safety
instructions when using electrical
appliances. Failure to follow all the
instructions below can result in the risk of
electric shock, fire and/or serious
personal injury.
• The appliance is only intended for
household use, or to be used in a staff
rooms, hotel rooms or other similar
environments.
• This appliance can be used by children
from 8 years and upwards and by persons
with physical, sensorial or mental
disabilities, or persons who lack
experience or knowledge, if they are
supervised or receive instructions
concerning the safe use of the appliance
and understand the risks involved with its
use. Do not allow children to play with the
appliance. Do not allow children to clean
or maintain the appliance without
supervision.
• The appliance is only intended for
domestic use. Do not immerse the
appliance, the power cord or plug,
in water or any other liquid – risk of
electric shock.
• Unplug the power cord before cleaning
and/or maintenance. Clean the appliance
with a cloth moistened with a mild
detergent and wipe dry with a dry cloth.
• The appliance must be earthed.
The current is earthed in the event of a
fault or malfunction, which reduces the
risk of electric shock. The appliance has a
power cord with an earth conductor and
approved, earthed plug.
• Plug the plug into a suitable mains outlet,
which has been properly installed and
earthed in accordance with local
regulations.
• An incorrectly connected earthed plug can
cause an electric shock. Consult an
electrician or qualified technician if you
have any questions about electrical
connections or earthing.
• Never modify the plug in any way. Allow
an authorised electrician to install an
earthed power point if the plug does not
fit in the power point.
• Do not use the appliance unless all the
parts of the casing are fitted correctly.
• Open the panel carefully when the
appliance is in use – risk of scalding from
steam or hot water.
• Do not stand or sit, or place heavy objects
on the basket or open panel – the
appliance can tip over, or be damaged.
• Loading:
– Place sharp objects so that there is no
risk of them damaging the panel seal.
– WARNING: Place knives etc.
horizontally or with the tips down.
• Check after each wash cycle that the
detergent compartment is empty.
• Do not wash plastic objects that are not
approved for dishwashers. Follow the
manufacturer's instructions for the objects
to be washed.
• Only use detergents and rinsing agents
that are intended to be used in
dishwashers.
• Never use soap, washing powder or
washing-up liquid etc. in the dishwasher.
• Keep children under supervision to make
sure they do not play with the appliance.
• Do not leave the front panel open – risk
of the appliance tipping over.
• Place the appliance on a level, smooth
surface. Do not place the appliance on a
soft carpet, or the equivalent.
