SECTION 6. CARE OF YOUR MACHINE

Caution:
Turn off the power switch and unplug the machine before
cleaning.
Do not dismantle the machine other than as explained in
this section.

Cleaning the hook race and feed dogs

z Remove the presser foot and needle. Remove
screw w on the left side of the needle plate e with
the screwdriver q supplied with the machine.
Remove the needle plate and take out the bobbin.

x Lift up the bobbin holder r and remove it.
r Bobbin holder
c Brush out dust and lint. Clean the bobbin holder with
a soft, dry cloth.
v Clean the feed dogs t and hook race y with a small
brush.

b Wipe the hook race gently with a soft, dry cloth u.
u Dry cloth
* You may also use a vacuum cleaner.
