10. IMPORTANT SIDEMOUNT DIVING INFORMATION

Sidemount diving is different to normal sport diving and has to be trained. Before using a sidemount BC you have to be trained by
a certij ed sidemount instructor. Sidmount trainings include rigging, setting up the equipment as well as handling the sidemount
tanks under water.
1) Attaching the sidemount tank:
a. Your sidemount tank needs to have an upper and lower bolt snap to be attached to this sidemount harness.
b. Attach the upper bolt snap to one of the shoulder D-rings j rst.
c. Then attach the lower bolt snap to either the handle on the back of the harness or to the D-ring on your waist belt.
d. Loop the bungee over the tanks valve to keep it close to your body.
2) After donning the BC and the tanks and before entering the water make sure you can reach and quickly j nd the lower
dump valves pull knob.

NEVER JUMP IN THE WATER WITH ATTACHED SIDEMOUNT TANKS AS THIS COULD LEAD TO SERIOUS
INJURY! ATTACH THE TANKS IN THE WATER OR MAKE SURE TO SLOWLY GO IN THE WATER!

This product is designed to use air or nitrogen/oxygen mixtures containing up to 40% oxygen. Use of
gas mixtures with increased oxygen, or the addition of helium or other substances, may cause corrosion,
deterioration, premature aging or component failure of metal and rubber parts. These actions may result in loss
of buoyancy control or air holding integrity of the BC, resulting in injury or death. Non-standard gas mixtures
may also present a risk of ð re or explosion. Use only nitrogen/oxygen mixtures containing up to 40% oxygen.

Adjust the BC so that it does not restrict your breathing when fully inñ ated. Restriction of normal breathing while
wearing your BC could result in injury or death. Before each use, check all bands, straps, quick-connect clips,
and/or cummerbund for proper adjustment to the user.

When using a weight belt with the crotch strap you must place the weight belt on top of the crotch strap so it
can fall freely from your body. Failure to follow this pratice will prevent the weight belt from being released and
may result in serious injury or death.
