g) Switching on the speed controller
Switch on the speed controller by turning the slide switch
to the "ON" position.
Then wait a few seconds (keep the throttle / brake lever in
the neutral position, do not move) until the speed control-
ler has completed its self-test.
If the speed controller has not detected a re-
mote control signal or correct neutral position,
the red LED will continue to flash. The speed
controller cannot be put into operation.
Meaning of acoustic signals
• 1x short tone: NiMH/NiCd drive battery detected
• 2x short tones: 2-cell LiPo drive battery detected
• 1x long tone: Test was successfully completed; the
throttle/brake lever is in the neutral position and the
speed controller is ready for use.
The acoustic signals are generated by the engine.
Check that the throttle and steering functions are working correctly.

LED Status
• LED off: Throttle/brake lever on the remote control is
in the neutral position
• LED flashes: Throttle/brake lever on the remote con-
trol is in the forwards/backwards position
• LED on: Full throttle forwards
