3. Lower/slide the entire tank heater into the final position with the bottom edge of the cabinet at least
2" (51 mm) from the centerline (drip line) of the tank bottom, as to ensure that no water enters the
heater cartridge area. See Figure 3.
4. Ensure that the neoprene band holding the temperature switches is folded outward against the side
of the heater and not under the edge of the heater since it will prevent the temperature switches
from contacting the tank surface properly. See Figure 4.
