CONNECTION OF THE LOUDSPEAKERS
If no connector is to be used, remove approximately 1 cm length of insulation from each end of the spea-
ker wire. Twist the braid in order to avoid short circuits. Turn the fastener on the loudspeaker terminal coun-
terclockwise to loosen it and introduce the bare wire end into the exposed connector hole. Then turn the
fastener clockwise so that the wire is firmly clamped. Make sure the connection is pretty tight.
Attention:
If you intend to connect two speakers, both loudspeakers must have a nominal impedance of at least 8Ω.
If only one speaker is used (A or B), all types of loudspeakers with a minimal nominal impedance of 4Ω
can be utilised.
Consider correct polarity, the positive contact is mostly marked red or with "+". The side of the speaker
cable that has to be connected with the positive socket has a marking.

OPERATING THE APPLIANCE

Button(s)
Description
The amplifier is switched on and off using this button at the front panel.
When switched off the device is not internally separated from the AC
power and reacts to a signal at one of the inputs "Power Control". Before
POWER (1)
switching on, you should reduce the volume setting at the preamplifier for
safety reasons. After switching on, the LED located above the power switch
flashes for about 20 seconds while the preamplifier's tubes warm up.
To play back music at least one loudspeaker must be attached to the ampli-
SPEAKER A
fier (a practical choice would be connectors "A"). The output you use must
SPEAKER B
be activated using the corresponding button "SPEAKER" (LED illuminated).
(2)
Only if a second speaker is used, it is necessary to activate the second
speaker output "B".
