The setting procedure allows the rear de-
railleur reference position to be set and is
particularly useful when changing a wheel
with a sprocket set positioned differently
with respect to the drop-out.
To set the rear derailleur, press and hold the
MODE (D - Fig. 2) button on the right-hand
Ergopower EPS control for approximately
6 seconds until the purple LED illuminates
continuously.
Set the position by pressing lever B or C on
the right-hand control (Fig. 2).
The setting procedure also allows any
imprecisions in rear derailleur operation to
be resolved.
• The chain moves up from one sprocket to another with difficulty, irrespective
of the sprocket: the position must be set to any sprocket, avoiding the smallest or
the largest one, and the setting procedure performed, shifting the position of the rear
derailleur inwards (B - Fig. 2 / right-hand control).
• The chain moves down from one sprocket to another with difficulty, irrespective
of the sprocket: the position must be set to any sprocket, avoiding the smallest or
the largest one, and the setting procedure performed, shifting the position of the rear
derailleur outwards (C - Fig. 2 / right-hand control).
Note
The system shifts the position by a fixed increment of approximately 0.2 mm each time
lever B or C is pressed (Fig. 2).
