Intended use

The device may only be used in the applications indicated
in this operating manual, and only in connection with third-
party devices or components recommended or approved by
Bürkert.
Observe the instructions in this operating manual, as well
as the conditions of use and permissible data specified in
the chapter Technical Data and on the type plate of each
device.
The device may only be used when it is in perfect condition.
The proper and safe operation of the device presupposes
correct transport and installation as well as correct operation.
Use in any other way does not constitute an intended use.
Foreseeable misuse
• Do not subject the device to mechanical loads (e. g. by
using it as a support for objects, as a screw-in aid, a step
or as a lever).
• Do not make any alterations to the exterior of the
device.

Unintentional operation or unauthorized tam-
pering may lead to hazardous situations.
• Take suitable measures to prevent unintentional
operation or unauthorized tampering!
WARNING!
Risk of burns due to the hot coil.
The coil can become very hot during continuous
operation.
• Wear protective gloves!
WARNING!
Risk of injury due to functional failure for valves
with alternating current (AC).
A seized core can cause the spool to overheat and
lead to functional failure.
• Monitor the operating process for proper
functioning!
CAUTION!
Risk of short circuit or escape of medium
through loose screw fittings.
• Ensure that the seals are seated correctly!
• Screw on coil and device plug socket and valves
and mounting plate carefully!

High pressure in the system!
Working on the system poses an acute risk of
injury.
• Only qualified and instructed persons may work
on the pneumatics / hydraulics of the system!
• Switch off the pressure before disconnecting
lines and valves!
• Use suitable tools!

Electrical voltage!
Working on the electrical equipment of the system
poses an acute risk of injury.
• Only qualified personnel may make modifications
or alterations to the electrical equipment of the
system!
• Always switch off the voltage and secure the
device to prevent switching on before starting
work!
• Observe the applicable accident prevention
and safety regulations for electrical equipment!

Scope of supply

Immediately upon receipt of delivery, check that the con-
tents have not been damaged and that the items delivery
match the delivery note or packing list in type and scope.
Please contact us immediately in the event of discrepancies.
