WARNING
Risk of falling! When performing cleaning
work in greater heights.
– Use personal protective equipment, ap-
proved fastening points must be availa-
ble and used.
Please observe the following standards
concerning safe work with protective
equipment: e.g. EN 358, EN 361,
EN813, EN1497
There is a tripping hazard due to the
safety rope and the high-pressure
hose. Always ensure that the high-pres-
sure hose and the safety rope are care-
fully placed down.
Appropriate climbing aids (e.g. scaffold
or lifting platforms) must be in place.
Ensure that the admissible roof load is
not exceeded during cleaning work
from the roof. In case of any uncertain-
ties, contact the builder.
Be particularly careful with corrugated
sheets made of asbestos cement or bi-
tumen, light domes or glass roofs as
well as old or damaged roof tiles. They
may only be stepped on if there are
special access or working boards.
Keep handles, steps, rails, platforms,
and ladders free of dirt.
Do not perform cleaning work in strong
winds.
Danger of slipping!
– Do not step on the roof in damp weather
conditions.
Risk of injury!
– Never touch the rotating brush with your
fingers.
– Prior to starting cleaning work on the
roof, a sufficiently large area on the
ground must be cordoned off by means
of barrier tape and/or "Caution roof
work" signs.
Persons might get injured by falling ob-
jects. Keep persons out of the cleaning
area while cleaning.
Wear suitable protective gloves, safety
goggles and safety gear during work.
CAUTION
Risk of breakage!
– Do not step on the modules, they can
get damaged by stepping on them.
In case of high outside temperatures, it
is recommended to preheat the water
(max. 40 °C) to avoid tensions in the
glass due to high temperature differ-
ences. Preferably perform cleaning
when the modules are not exposed to
sunlight.
Risk of damage!
– Soiled and dry brushes can damage the
module surface. Always keep bristles
free of dirt or sand.
Do not hit or scratch the surface with
the telescopic lance or the cleaning
brush.
Do not push brushes over dry modules.
Do not perform cleaning work in minus
temperatures.

Preparation
Securing the cleaning area
Prior to starting cleaning work on the
roof, a sufficiently large area on the
ground must be cordoned off by means
of barrier tape and/or "Caution roof
work" signs.
Attaching the high-pressure hose to
the telescopic lance

Completely push the telescopic lance
together.

Unscrew the connection thread from
the telescopic lance.
Illustration
Fully uncoil the high-pressure hose and
lay it out lengthwise.
Insert the thin end of the high-pressure
hose in the guide of the telescopic lance
until it exits the front of the lance.
Illustration
Screw the connection thread onto the
high-pressure hose. Use soluble metal
adhesive (e.g. Loctide 243).
Note: Use a hexagon key SW 6 for
tightening.

Screw the connection thread approx.
1.5 cm into the thread of the telescopic
lance and fix by a locknut.

Note: Ensure that the nut does not pro-
trude into the thinner thread.

Connecting the cleaning brushes
with distributor and telescopic
lance (iSolar 800 only)
Illustration
Screw the cleaning brushes onto the
connection of the distributor, do not
tighten them yet. Mind the brushes' di-
rection of rotation!
Note: Unscrew the brush turning anti-
clockwise on the left. Unscrew brush
turning clockwise on the right.
The parallel alignment of the brushes to
each other is very important. Thus, only
install the brushes with the accompany-
ing installation aid.
Place the brushes onto an even base
for installation, attach the installation
aid as shown and tighten the brushes.
Remove installation aid.
Note: The installation aid can also be
used as a wall bracket for storage of the
brushes.
Screw the distributor with the installed
brushes onto the connection of the tele-
scopic lance and tighten it.

Note: Unscrew the hand spray gun
from the high-pressure hose first.
Operations
Tips for cleaning
– Moisten the first row of modules using
the water hose. This removes stubborn
soiling and the scrubbing of the brush
on a dry surface is avoided.
– Cleaning from the roof ridge: Clean the
modules from top (telescopic lance re-
tracted) to bottom (telescopic lance ex-
tended).
