Warning!
Danger to life and risk of injury due to damage: A damaged lock is a safety risk. A damaged lock must not be assem-
bled and utilised. The lock and the packaging must not be damaged.
Danger to life and risk of injury due to incorrect or faulty assembly of the horizontal actuating bar (panic bar)
according to DIN EN 1125: The usual installation height for the panic bar is 900 mm to 1100 mm above the finished
floor surface. If the majority of residents in the building are children, then the installation height must be reduced ac-
cordingly. The horizontal actuation bar must be installed in such a way that a maximum effective bar length is achieved
("Anti-panic bar handle in accordance with DIN EN 1125", page 52).
Danger to life and risk of injury due to incorrect or faulty assembly of the door pressing fitting according to
DIN EN 179: It may only be used exclusively in accordance with DIN EN 179 certified door fittings, blocking counter-
parts and panels ("Door fittings according to DIN EN 179", page 52).
A
Attention!
Property damage caused by work on the door leaf: The lock must be dismantled and removed for all work executed
on the door leaf, for example when drilling or milling.
Functional restriction caused by faulty milling out of the lock recess: The lock recess must be prepared in accord-
ance with the lock recess dimension. The lock must be able to be inserted without force and be screwed in as tension
free.
Property damage after drilling through the lock: The lock will be damaged by drilling. Only factory manufactured
drill holes are to be used for attaching door fittings. The lock must be dismantled and removed for all work executed
on the door leaf, for example when drilling or milling.
Damage caused by dirt: The lock will be damaged by soiling. The lock recess and and drill holes must be cleaned
before assembly work (by blowing out or vacuuming).
Functional restriction by tense assembly: The lock must be installed free of tension.
Functional restriction by not freely movable door opener: The lock must be installed in such a way that the pressure
pin and lock nut are flush.
Property damage caused by forcibly inserting the pressure pin into the lock nut: The pressure pin of the door
opener must be lightly pushed into the lock nut. Tools are not required.
Property damage caused by missing locking cylinders in the locked door: The safety lock locks a closed door
automatically and can then only be unlocked again via an assembled locking cylinder. If there is no assembled locking
cylinder, then the door can only be opened with force. Before the safety lock will be assembled, a site locking cylinder
must be assembled.
Property damage caused by construction key: The use of a so-called construction key can destroy the lock. The func-
tion is then no longer guaranteed. Use only a suitable locking cylinder for operation of the lock according to DIN 18252
or EN SN 1303 (Fig. 19, page 136).
