5.2 Do not place anything on the engine while it is running.
5.3 Allow the muffler, engine cylinder and fins to cool before
touching grass-covered or brush-covered unimproved land.
6.
Always operate this equipment with all guard and
safety devices in place. Never operate this machine if
any guard or safety devices have been removed or if
they have malfunctioned.
7.
Never leave the machine unattended while running. It may
topple over and can move forward due to the motion of
the base plate, creating a hazard in the work area.
7.1 Move the throttle lever to neutral and shut the engine off.
7.2 Secure the upright tool with a chain or rope to support
structure so it cannot topple over.
8.
Do not use on steep slopes, as the tool can topple over.
9.
Only lift the tool by the lifting bar at the top.
10. The tamping rammer engine requires an adequate free
flow of cooling air. Never operate the rammer in any
enclosed or narrow area where free flow of the air is
restricted as this may cause heat damage to the engine.
10.1 Restricted air flow will also prevent carbon monoxide
fumes from dispersing and may result in a breathing
hazard for the user and bystanders. See Carbon
Monoxide Poisoning.
11. Do not top off the filler port. This can result in spilled fuel
and result in a fire hazard.
VIBRATION PRECAUTIONS
1.
This tool vibrates during use. Repeated or long-term
exposure to vibration may cause temporary or permanent
physical injury, particularly to the hands, arms and shoulders.
2.
Anyone using vibrating tools regularly or for an extended
period should first be examined by a doctor and then have
regular medical check-ups to ensure medical problems are
not being caused by or worsened from tool use.
