COMPACTING ON AN INCLINE
WARNING! Never stand below the tamping rammer when
using on an incline as it may topple and cause a serious
injury. When changing direction, always remain uphill.
WARNING! Stop compacting immediately if the tool is
difficult to control on an incline. The tool may topple and
cause a serious injury to the operator or bystanders.
The incline cannot exceed a 20° angle. There may be a risk that
the tool will topple during compaction. The angle will also
prevent the oil lubrication system from operating correctly and
damage the engine.
1.
The best method of compacting on an incline is starting at
the top and moving down the incline.
2.
Adjust the speed that the tamping rammer moves with the
handrail and throttle, until it is comfortable.
3.
At the slope's bottom, move the throttle to idle speed to
stop the base plate from vibrating.
4. Pull the tamping rammer to the top of the incline and fully
open the throttle to start the base plate vibrating. Resume
compacting the soil.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
1.
Maintain the tool with care. A tool in good condition is
efficient, easier to control and will have fewer problems.
2.
Inspect the tool components periodically. Repair or replace
damaged or worn components. Only use identical
replacement parts when servicing.
3.
Follow instructions for lubricating and changing accessories.
4. Keep the tool handles clean, dry and free from oil/grease
at all times.
5.
Maintain the tool's labels and name plates. These carry
important information. If unreadable or missing, contact
Princess Auto Ltd. for replacements.
