3.2.4 Installation of seals and assembly of the valve
1.
Insert the bushing (pos. 7) into the yoke (pos. 6). Then insert the
shaft seal (pos. 8) and press in the seat seals (pos. 9).
2.
Assemble yoke (pos. 6) at the actuator (pos. 5).
3.
Insert seat seal (pos. 19) into the shaft (pos. 18). Use the APV
assembly tool (see section 3.3) to pull in the seat seal. Lightly
grease seat seal before installation. If installed manually, vent the
seal groove by inserting a thin object between seal and wall.
4.
Lightly grease body seals (pos. 21) and put them onto the
grooves of the yoke (pos. 6) and of the upper body (pos. 16).
5.
Push the upper body (pos. 16) onto the yoke (pos. 6). Secure the
two parts by means of the clamp (pos. 15).
NB! In case of design NO, control valve with air.
6.
Push the shaft (pos. 18) through the yoke (pos. 6) and the
actuator (pos. 5), put on the centering washer (pos. 3) and
tighten the nut (pos. 2) until it locks on the top. Doing this, hold
up the centering washer.
Torque: 40 Nm.
NB! In case of design NO, shut off air supply.
3.2.5 Installation of the valve
1.
Put the control unit onto the adapter and secure it by the ring.
2.
In case of valve design NC, the actuator must be controlled by
means of air.
Do not touch movable parts!
Risk of injury if the valve is unexpectedly activated.
3.
Carefully install the valve insert in the lower body (pos. 20) and
tighten the lower clamp (pos. 17). The body seal (pos. 21) must
not be damaged during the installation.
4.
With valve design NC, shut off air.
5.
Check basic adjustment of the valve position indicator.
The shift points can be adjusted by turning the positioning screw in
the control unit.
