3 Maintenance
Maintenance intervals depend on valve application and should be
determined by the operator who should carry regular checks.
Tools required:
1 x spanner SW13
1 x spanner SW17
1 x spanner SW19
1 x spanner SW30
Change of seals according to assembly instructions.
Assembly of the valve and change of the valve design NC or NO
according to assembly instructions.
All seals should be lightly greased before installation.
Recommendation:
APV-food-grade grease for EPDM and Viton
(0.75 kg /can
(60 g /inch
or
APV-food-grade grease for Silicone and HNBR
(1 kg /can
(40 g /inch
Do not use grease containing mineral oil for EPDM seals!
Do not use Silicone-based grease for Silicone seals!
3.1 Assembly instructions for shut-off valves
The pos. numbers refer to the sectional drawing on page 2.
3.1.1 Removal from the pipe system
1.
Shut off line pressure.
2.
In case of design NC, the actuator should be controlled by
means of air.
Do not touch movable parts!
Risk of injury if valve is unexpectedly activated.
3.
Remove clamp (pos. 10) and lift insert out of the body (pos. 14).
4.
Shut off compressed air.
5.
Remove control unit (pos. 1) from actuator (pos. 5).
(Turn ring anticlockwise)
