When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed,
including the following:
Read all instructions.
Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cord, plug or Sandwich Maker into water
or any other liquid.
Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or
taking off parts and before cleaning the appliance.
Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance
malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. return appliance to the nearest
authorized service facility for examination, repair or electrical or mechanical adjustment.
Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot
liquids.
To reduce the risk of injury, use only accessory attachments if recommeded by the appliance
manufacturer.
Do not use outdoors.
Do not let cord hang over sharp edges of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
To disconnect, remove plug from wall outlet.
Do not use appliance for other than intented use.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for
their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cutout, this appliance
must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to
a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.

examination, repair or adjustment.
how to Make toaSted SandwicheS
note: When using the unit for the first time, the unit will maybe cause a fine smoke. This is
caused by the heating of the elements and new components and can be disregarded.
1. When using for the first time wipe the surface of the platens with a damp cloth and dry with
cloth, tissue etc. then smear the platen with butter, margarine or cooking fat.
2. Fit the plug into the wall socket.
3. close the sandwich Maker and prepare sandwich while toaster is heating.
the red and green indicator lights will both illuminates. as soon as the green indicator
light go off (after about 4-5 minutes), the preheating time is complete and toasting can
commence.
4. Fully open the sandwich Maker. place a slice of bread in the bottom half with the buttered
side against the platen.
5. Fill the sandwich, pressing the bottom half into the platen.
6. place ont the top slice with the buttered side up and carefully close the two parts of the
toaster together. lower the top non-stick coated toasting plate, and use the clip to fasten
the Handles. Do not force shut. Steam will be ejected from between the platens while doing
this and care must be taken to ensure that fingers do not come into contact with same.
7. It is normal for the Indicator Lights to switch on and off during use.
cook only with metal platen closed.

8. Your sandwich will be toasted in 3-6mins or longer to suit your taste. open the toaster and
remove sandwich using plastic or wooden spatula. never use a metal knife as this may
damage the non-stick coating.
9. close the lid to preserve the heat until ready to toast the next sandwiches.
10. prepare additional sandwiches if desired while the others are cooking.
11. after use, remove the plug from the wall socket.

grill Function

Lightly brush grids with butter, margarine or cooking oil to avoid that the foods stick to the
plates.
When the appliance has reached the desired temperature, open it and put the foods in on
the grill plate. Make sure the foods are not too thick, so that you can close the appliance. the
cooking time depends on the type of food you are grilling. to avoid burning the foods, check
regularly during the cooking process.
When grilling is finished, unplug the appliance and leave it open to allow it to cool down.

1. always preheat before use. plug cord into power outlet while preparing the fillings.
2. For soft or liquid sandwich fillings use medium sliced bread, white or brown. if small
amounts of filling use toasting bread.
3. Flavoured butter may also be used.
4. For added flavour use bacon dripping. Brush dripping onto the outside of bread.
5. suggested garnishes for savoury sandwiches, lettuce, parsely, mint, cress, stuffed olive
halves, onion, tomato etc.
6. a teaspoon of sugar sprinkled on the outside makes toasted sandwiches crisper (especially
with fruit fillings).
cleaning
After use and before cleaning remove plug and wait for toaster to cool. Allow to cool with the
top non-stick coated toasting plate open.
Wipe the inside and the edges of the platen with kitchen roll, absorbent paper towelling or
a soft cloth.
Should any filling be difficult to remove, pour a little cooking oil onto the platen and wipe off
after 5mins when the food has softened.
Wipe the outside with only a slightly moistened cloth ensuring that no moisture, oil or grease
enter the cooling slots.
Do not clean the inside or outside with any abrasive scouring pad or steel wool as this will
damage the finish.
