3. Funktionsstörungen auftreten.
Lassen Sie die Geräte in jedem Fall in einer Fach-
werkstatt reparieren.
Eine beschädigte Netzanschlußleitung des Netz-
gerätes darf nur durch den Hersteller oder durch
eine autorisierte Fachwerkstatt ersetzt werden.
Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker des Netzgerätes nie
an der Zuleitung aus der Steckdose.
Verwenden Sie für die Reinigung des Monitors
und der Netzgeräte nur ein trockenes, weiches
Tuch, auf keinen Fall Wasser oder Chemikalien.
Reinigen Sie das Kameragehäuse nicht mit schar-
fen Reinigungsmitteln oder Chemikalien.
Werden die Geräte zweckentfremdet, falsch
angeschlossen, nicht richtig bedient oder nicht
fachgerecht repariert, kann für eventuelle Schä-
den keine Haftung übernommen werden.
Sollen die Geräte endgültig aus dem Betrieb
genommen werden, übergeben Sie sie zur Ent-
sorgung einem örtlichen Recyclingbetrieb.
3 Anwendungsmöglichkeiten
Die Video-Überwachungsanlage AV-400SET ist zur
drahtlosen Überwachung für den Innen- und Außen-
bereich geeignet. Sie besteht aus einem tragbaren
S/W-Monitor mit eingebautem Empfänger, der auch
mit Batterie betrieben werden kann, und einer S/W-
Kamera vom Typ AVC-400 mit integriertem Mikrofon
und Sender in einem spritzwassergeschützten Ge-
häuse (IP 44). Das System kann auf bis zu vier
Kameras gleichen Typs erweitert werden.
Die Übertragungsreichweite hängt stark von den
örtlichen Gegebenheiten ab. Im freien Gelände
kann sie bis zu 100 m betragen, in Gebäuden ist sie
je nach Beschaffenheit der Wände geringer.
Zur parallelen Überwachung auf einem zweiten
Monitor oder zur Aufzeichnung von Bild und Ton auf
einem Videorecorder besitzt der Monitor einen
Audio- und einen Videoausgang.
Never pull the mains plug of the power supply unit
out of the mains socket by means of the mains
cable.
For cleaning of the monitor and the power supply
units only use a dry, soft cloth, by no means
chemicals or water. Do not clean the camera
housing with strong detergents and chemicals.
If the units are used for purposes other than
originally intended, if they are not connected or
operated correctly or not repaired in an expert
way, there is no liability for possible damage.
If the units are to be put out of operation defini-
tively, take them to a local recycling plant for dis-
posal.
3 Applications
The video surveillance system AV-400SET is suit-
able for wireless indoor and outdoor surveillance. It
consists of a portable B/W monitor with installed
receiver which can also be operated with battery,
and a B/W camera of type AVC-400 with integrated
microphone and transmitter in a splashproof
housing (IP 44). The system can be extended to a
maximum of four cameras of the same type.
The transmission range largely depends on local
conditions. In the open space it can extend up to
100 m, in buildings the transmission range is smaller
according to the conditions of the walls.
For parallel surveillance on a second monitor or
for video and audio recording on a video recorder
the monitor is equipped with an audio output and a
video output.
3.1 Approval
The approval for the wireless camera is valid
according to the R+TTE directive (radio and tele-
communication technical equipment) in the coun-
tries of the European Union. For the operation in
countries outside the EU please ask your retailer or
the MONACOR subsidiary of the corresponding
country.
3.1 Zulassung
Die Zulassung für die Funk-Kamera ist nach der
R + TTE-Richtlinie (Radio and Telecommunication
Technical Equipment) in den Staaten der Europäi-
schen Union gültig. Für den Betrieb in Staaten
außerhalb der EU fragen Sie bitte Ihren Fachhänd-
ler oder die MONACOR-Niederlassung des entspre-
chenden Landes.
4 Voreinstellung der Geräte
4.1 Einstellung des Sendekanals
Zum Einstellen des Sendekanals einer Kamera den
Gummistopfen auf der Unterseite der Kamera ent-
fernen. Den Sendekanal mit den DIP-Schaltern (16)
folgendermaßen wählen:

Werden mehrere Kameras eingesetzt, so ist darauf
zu achten, daß alle Kameras auf unterschiedliche
Sendekanäle eingestellt sind. Anschließend den
Gummistopfen zum Schutz wieder einsetzen.
4.2 Einstellung der Empfangskanäle
Am Monitor die Empfangskanäle einstellen, die den
Sendekanälen der verwendeten Kameras entspre-
chen. Dazu auf der Monitorrückseite die Schalter
„RX.CH" (12) in die untere Position „ON" stellen,
deren Nummern denen der Sendekanäle entspre-
chen.
Beispiel für die Einstellung des Monitor bei Verwen-
dung von zwei Kameras, die auf Kanal 1 und Kanal
3 senden:

4.1 Setting of the transmitting channel
To set the transmitting channel of a camera, remove
the rubber plug on the lower side of the camera.
Select the transmitting channel with the DIP
switches (16) as follows:

If several cameras are used, observe that all cam-
eras are set to different transmitting channels. Then
place the rubber plug again for protection.
4.2 Setting of the receiving channels
At the monitor set the receiving channels which cor-
respond to the transmitting channels of the cameras
used. For this purpose set the switches "RX.CH"
(12) on the rear side of the monitor to the lower posi-
tion "ON", the numbers of which correspond to those
of the transmitting channels.
Example for the setting of the monitor if two cameras
are used which transmit on channel 1 and chan-
nel 3:

5 Placing of Monitor and Camera
To avoid a heat accumulation, the location for the
monitor must be selected so that during operation a
sufficient air circulation is ensured.
As the transmission range largely depends on the
local conditions, a test run should be made prior to
fixed mounting of the camera (for this see chapters 6
and 7). The camera is supplied with a bracket for wall
or ceiling mounting. For easier mounting the camera

Zur Vermeidung von Wärmestaus muß der Stellplatz
des Monitors so gewählt werden, daß im Betrieb
eine ausreichende Luftzirkulation gewährleistet ist.
Da die Reichweite der Übertragung stark von den
räumlichen Gegebenheiten abhängt, sollte ein Test-
betrieb vor der festen Montage der Kamera vorge-
nommen werden (siehe dazu Kapitel 6 und 7). Die
Kamera wird mit einer Halterung für die Wand- oder
Deckenmontage geliefert. Zur einfacheren Montage
sollte die Kamera zunächst durch Herausdrehen der
beiden Feststellschrauben (17) von der Halterung
(19) genommen werden. Nach Montage der Halte-
rung die Kamera wieder in die Halterung einsetzen
und mit den Feststellschrauben nur soweit fixieren,
daß sie sich noch ausrichten läßt.
6 Geräte anschließen

6.1 Zusatzmonitor oder Videorecorder

die Eingänge eines weiteren Monitors oder den AV-
Eingang eines Fernsehgerätes mit den Buchsen
AUDIO OUT (5) und VIDEO OUT (6) verbinden. Für
die Aufzeichnung von Bild und Ton stattdessen die
Buchsen mit den Audio- und Videoeingängen eines
Videorecorders verbinden.
6.2 Stromversorgung der Kamera
Den Gleichspannungsstecker (21) des mitgeliefer-
ten Steckernetzgerätes (Abb. 5) mit der Kupplung
(20) der Kamera verbinden. Danach das Netzgerät
in eine Netzsteckdose (230 V~/50 Hz) stecken. Die
Betriebsanzeige der Kamera (15) leuchtet.
Wichtig! Die Netzgeräte für Kamera und Monitor
sind nicht identisch und dürfen nicht ver-
tauscht werden. Bei einer Verwechslung
können die Geräte beschädigt werden.

6 Connection of the Units

6.1 Additional monitor or video recorder

For a parallel video and audio surveillance connect
Channel 4
the inputs of a further monitor or the AV input of a TV
set to the jacks AUDIO OUT (5) and VIDEO OUT (6).
For audio and video recording, however, connect
the jacks to the audio and video inputs of a video re-
corder.
6.2 Power supply of the camera
Connect the DC voltage plug (21) of the supplied
plug-in power supply unit (fig. 5) to the inline jack
(20) of the camera. Then connect the power supply
unit to a mains socket (230 V~/50Hz). The POWER
LED of the camera (15) lights up.
Important! The power supply units for camera and
monitor are not identical and must not
be mixed up. In case of confusion the
units can be damaged.

6.3 Power supply of the monitor
After connection of all other units connect the sup-
plied monitor power supply unit (fig. 3) to the jack
DC 13.5V (7). Then connect the mains plug of the
power supply unit to a mains socket (230 V~/50 Hz).
For mobile use of the monitor the power supply
can also alternatively be made via 1.5 V batteries
(10 x batteries of size C). The battery compartment
is located on the lower side of the monitor. For
inserting the batteries slightly press the latch of the
