OIL COOLING

When using a dependent system it is important to check the
capacity of the tractor's oil tank and whether the cooling system
is sufficient. If necessary have an oil cooler or a larger tank
installed on the tractor by the dealer: the ratio between the volu-
me of oil in the system and the capacity of the tank should be
approximately 1:2.
With the independent system, check the oil level in the tank daily
during the period of use; top up if necessary. Oil tank capacity
(AGIP OSO 32, ISO-L-HM classification) 62 litres.
- Always keep oils and grease out of reach of children.
- Always read warnings and precautions indicated on the
containers carefully.
- Avoid skin-contact.
- After use wash the equipment thoroughly.
- Treat the used oils and polluting liquids in conformity with the
laws in force.
The Manufacturer declines all responsibility due to negligence
and non-observance of these rules.

3.6 ADJUSTING THE SEEDING DEPTH

To obtain a good level at which sprouts come out, the seed needs
to be placed at the right depth into the seeding bed.
The seeding depth is adjusted simultaneously for all planting
devices through a crank (A Fig. 33). By rotating it clockwise, a
stronger pressure can be exerted on the planting devices to the
ground by means of the extension springs, thus allowing deeper
seeding. Pressure can also be further adjusted individually at
spring level, by changing the position of the chain rings (B Fig.33).
With disc-type planter shoes, the depth is determined by the
limiter block (A Fig. 34) by changing its position with the lever (B
Fig. 34).
On request, the planting unit can be equipped with hydraulic
regulation of the pressure of the furrow openers (Fig. 35). This
device is fitted in place of the manual adjuster screws (Fig. 33)
and connected through the special hydraulic tubes to the tractor
distributor (double effect). The device is operated by moving the
lever of the tractor distributor. A pointer on the adjustment scale (A
Fig. 35) allows a purely progressive reference to the pressure
value of the furrow opener units:
"0" = minimum pressure;
"8" = maximum pressure.
3.7 HYDRAULIC LIFTING OF THE FURROW OPENER
BEARING FRAME
On request, the planting unit can be equipped with a hydraulic
lifting device (Fig. 36) for the furrow opener bearing frame (9 Fig.
2). This device is fitted in place of the manual adjustment tie rod
(A Fig. 18) and connected through special hydraulic tubes to the
tractor distributor (double effect).
The hydraulic system supplied has a unidirectional flow regulator
(A Fig. 36) that when correctly adjusted allows the furrow opener
bearing frame to be raised parallel to the ground.
Free flow from A to B (Fig. 37);
Throttled flow from B to A (regulated) (Fig. 37).
Slacken the lock nut (1) and turn the knob (2) to adjust. When the
adjustment has been completed, re-tighten the lock nut.
