Congratulations on selecting the Midwest
you have purchased the finest equipment of its type. It is a compact, counter-top unit that features a number of
maintenance cycles designed to meet your handpiece maintenance needs.
Details of installing, operating and servicing this unit are contained in these Instructions for Use. To ensure years of safe,
trouble-free service read the instructions before operating this unit and keep them for future reference. Operational,
maintenance and replacement instructions must be followed to perform as designed. Contents of this manual are subject
to change without notice to reflect changes and improvements to the product.

General
The unit has been developed and manufactured according to the latest quality and safety standards. However,
some precautions should be taken for installation and operation.
• When leaving the system unattended for an extended period (e.g. vacations), it must be disconnected from the power
supply.
• The unit contains a spray can and must be protected from heating up over 122°F (50°C).
• Modifications by third parties will result in voiding the warranty and cancellation of the electrical certification of this
product.
• Use only recommended original parts, as they are qualified in extensive tests for safety, function and suitability. Use of
other products or components shall void the warranty.
• Observe all warning information on the unit and the Instructions for Use.
• The unit must be supplied with the voltage indicated in the Instructions for Use and on the unit.
• Users must not attempt to service the unit exceeding those points described in the Instructions for Use.
• Never remove the cover of the unit and never insert objects through the holes or openings on the case. Non-
compliance may cause damage to the unit and/or may endanger the user.
Following maintenance in the unit, handpieces must be further treated (sterilized) according to local guidelines and
manufacturer recommendations.

Qualification of the user
The unit may only be used by trained personnel who may include dentists and their assistants.
The unit may only be used for applications defined in "Intended Use".
The unit must be operated in well ventilated areas to avoid possible explosive conditions.
Disposal of consumables
Waste incurred must be recycled or disposed of in a manner harmless to human beings and the environment per
relevant regulations.
