Typographic Conventions in the Instruction Manual
Text in italics includes general and important factual information that must
be obeyed in order to avoid damage to property (amongst other things).
Bold words and word groups include information that require the operator's
special attention. The purpose of these conventions is to prevent possible mis-
understandings by highlighting important information.
Meaning
WARNING indicates the presence of a medium
level hazard that could cause severe personal
injury or death if ignored.
CAUTION indicates the presence of a low level
hazard that could cause minor personal injury if
ignored.
NOTICE on a white background gives general tips
and tricks which are helpful to the operator.
General advice for helpful TIPS and additions.
RULE: A graphic in a circle is a safety symbol that
urges the operator to an action in order to avoid
hazards.
