MONOLOCK KNEE
The Monolock Knee is a monocentric knee joint featuring a stable aluminum frame design. It is suitable for users
whose mobility classification is 1 and has been approved for body weights up to 125 kg.
The Balance Knee Monolock is designed for users whose mobility needs are modest (uniformly very slow gait) and
who require considerable safety support.

INDICATIONS FOR USE

The Monolock Knee is designed for patients with transfemoral and knee disarticulation amputation.

SETTING
The Monolock Knee joint is shipped from the factory ready to function.
Begin by cautiously testing the function of the joint with the user in a static and dynamic gait trial.
Adjusting the length of nylon pull
For the initial trimming of the nylon pull, or to readjust its length later, loosen the fastening screw (7) on the
locking lever. Adjust the nylon pull as desired and trim any excess length.
Apply Loctite to the fastening screw (7) and hand-tighten it. Use a 2 mm Allen key.
Readjustment of joint play
When the lock of the Monolock Knee is used, excessive play may be experienced.
This play can be corrected using the screw (12) by turning it clockwise using a 2.5 mm Allen key. This moves a
buffer which compensates for the play (f ig. 3).
If the release lever (8) does not easily snap in, use the screw (12) to correct the position of the stopper by turning
the screw counter-clockwise (fig. 3).
