6.0 FINISHING

THE FRONT OF THE APPLIANCE MUST BE FINISHED WITH ANY NON-COMBUSTIBLE MATERIALS
SUCH AS BRICK, MARBLE, GRANITE, ETC., PROVIDED THAT THESE MATERIALS DO NOT GO
DO NOT STRIKE, SLAM OR SCRATCH GLASS. DO NOT OPERATE APPLIANCE WITH GLASS
FACING AND/OR FINISHING MATERIAL MUST NEVER OVERHANG INTO THE APPLIANCE OPENING.

SAFETY BARRIER AND DOOR REMOVAL / INSTALLATION
THE DOOR LATCHES ARE PART OF A SAFETY SYSTEM AND MUST BE PROPERLY ENGAGED. DO
FACING AND/OR FINISHING MATERIALS MUST NOT INTERFERE WITH AIR FLOW THROUGH AIR
OPENINGS, LOUVRES OPENINGS, OPERATION OF LOUVRES OR DOORS OR ACCESS FOR
SERVICE. OBSERVE ALL CLEARANCES WHEN APPLYING COMBUSTIBLE MATERIALS.
BEFORE DOOR IS REMOVED TURN THE APPLIANCE OFF AND WAIT UNTIL APPLIANCE IS COOL TO
A barrier designed to reduce the risk of burns from
the hot viewing glass is provided with the appliance
and shall be installed.
Remove the optional front trim equipped with safety barrier, refer to
leafl et for removal instructions.
The glass door is secured to the top front edge of the fi rebox with two
latches. Pull the handles of the latches forward, then lift the latches
out from the door frame to release the top of the door. Next, pivot
the door forward until the top edge clears the front of the appliance.
Carefully grip the sides of the door lifting it out from the retainer
along the bottom of the door.
Reverse these steps to re-install the door.
NOTE: For ease of door removal, it is necessary to
remove the trim.
