Decommissioning
NOTICE!
Contact a specialist workshop if you have no experience with the
decommissioning of generators.
If you do not want to use the generator for a longer period of time, take it out of
operation. Empty the engine oil and fuel tanks and conserve the engine.
• Clean the power generator (see chapter "Cleaning").
• Drain the engine oil (see chapter "Draining the engine oil").
• Empty the petrol tank, e.g. with a suitable suction pump (not included).
• Pull the spark plug connector upwards with a slight twisting movement.
• Unscrew the spark plug counter-clockwise using the spark plug wrench.
• Apply about 1 ml of engine oil to the spark plug opening, e. g. using a suitable
syringe.
• Tighten the spark plug in clockwise direction by hand as far as it goes.
• Carefully tighten the spark plug using the spark plug spanner. Do not apply a
lot of force.
• Slowly pull through the access two or three times.
• Replace the spark plug connector.
The engine is conserved and the power generator can be stored (see chapter
"Storage").
