CLEANING AND CARE
Reasonable care will insure many years of service from your unit. Avoid dropping items
on the heating elements.
• Always unplug unit from electrical outlet and allow to cool before cleaning.
• Never immerse in water or other liquid.
• Use damp soapy cloth or sponge to clean surface of hotplate, chrome burner ring,
drip pan and base.
• The sponge or cloth should only be damp without water dripping to avoid water
leaking into the hotplate.
• Never use harsh abrasives or steel wool pads on any part of unit.
• Any servicing other than cleaning should be performed by an authorized service
centre.
Important Notes on Cleaning
• A short mains power cable is included to minimize the risk of injury from tripping
over or tangled in the cable. If you need a longer cable, you can use an extension
cable (not included).
• If you are using an extension cord, make sure the voltage of the cord is at least
16A, 250V or 3000W and place it so that nobody can accidentally trip over it or
children can pull the device off the table using the cord.
• The cable must never touch the hot surfaces of the unit.
Storage
• Ensure the unit is completely cool and dry.
• Do not wrap the cord around the appliance, as this will cause damage.
• Keep the appliance in a cool, dry place.
