Charging process
Do not expose the battery to
extreme conditions such as heat
and impact. There is a risk of
injury from leaking electrolyte
solution! In case of contact,
rinse with water or neutraliser
and consult a doctor if contact
has occurred with eyes etc.
Charge the battery only in dry
areas.
Do not switch on the device
while charging it and make sure
that the safety key (
been removed.
There is a risk of injury from
electric shock.
Ensure that the equipment is
charged for no longer than
3-5 hours without interruption.
The battery and equipment could
be damaged and they consume
energy unnecessarily in case of
longer charging time. Overcharg-
ing invalidates the guarantee.

Before initial use, charge the battery
installed in the equipment. Do not
charge the battery for several short
periods in succession.

Use the charger supplied to charge
the Li-ion battery installed in the
equipment.
•
Recharge the battery if the equipment
runs too slowly.
•
In all cases, observe the applicable
safety information as well as the regu-
lations and directions for environmen-
tal protection.
•
Defects resulting from improper han-
dling are not subject to the guarantee.

Operation
Switching on and off
1. Remove the safety key (7).
2. Connect the charger cable plug
(17) with the charger socket on
the tool (5).
3. Connect the power supply unit
(16) to a socket.
The charging indicator (6) lights up:
Red: Equipment charging.
Green: Charging finished.
The recommended charging time
is max. 3 – 5 hours.
4. After the recharging process
is completed, first unplug the
charger from the wall outlet, and
then remove the charger cable
plug from the tool.
Keep to noise abatement regula-
tions and other by-laws.
1. Remove the blade guard (11/14)
before switching the unit on.
2. Insert the safety key (7) into the
device.
3. To switch on, hold the switch lock
(2) depressed and operate the
on/off switch (8). Then release
the switch lock.
The equipment runs at top
speed.
4. In order to switch off, let go of
the on/off switch (8).
After switching the unit off, the
blades take a short time to stop
moving. Let the blades come to a
complete standstill. Do not touch
the moving blades and do not
try to stop them moving. Injury
hazard!
