You have chosen a modern and reliable sys-
tem. Please read through these operating in-
structions carefully. They tell you how to set
up the system correctly and explain all the
system's features to you.
Standard componets
Please check if all following components are

- 4 Batteries (Mignon, AA, LR06)
- Sensor cable, length 5 m
- Operating instructions
- Warranty card
If any parts are missing, please immediately
contact your dealer or the manufacturer di-
rectly.
Operating principle
The visuTone picks up the ringing signals
from your telephone or doorbell through an
electrical connection and converts these
signals into acustic and optical signals.
1. Inserting the batteries
You will find a battery compartment on the
rear side of the visuTone. Open it by gently
pressing the small clip against the battery
compartment lid with your thumb and then
lift it up. Now insert the four batteries that
came with the device into the compartment,
making sure that plus is matched with
plus and minus with minus! Replace the
lid on the compartment.
2a. Installation of the sensor cable
Use the adhesive ring to affix the sensor
disk to the sound emission opening on your
doorbell and insert the sensor cable into
the connection jack on the underside of the
visuTone. To do so, make sure to remove the
protective film over the adhesive ring on the
sensor disk first.
If you use the sensor cable, the telephone/
sensor selector on the underside of the visu-

visuTone functions properly, the sensitivity
control dial must be set so that the sensor
reacts to the signal promptly.
2b. Installing a telephone cable (optional,
not included)
Plug the end of the cable with the transpar-
ent clip-in connector (6-pin plug) into the
socket on the underside of the visuTone.
Plug the other end into a space telephone
socket.

Important
The visuTone is designed to be connected to
an analog telephone system.
Note
You can use the visuTone to either indicate
a ring at the doorbell or a ring of the tele-
phone. The visuTone is not able to process
and indicate both signals at the same time.
3. ON-/OFF switch
Set the ON-/OFF switch to „ON". The visuTo-
ne is now ready to operate.
