all the features you'd expect from the latest technology and is designed
for ease of operation.

Note
This scale intended to be used without requiring approval. It complies with
the relevant requirements of EU directives 2004/108/EC and 2006/95/EC.
This device is interference-free in accordance with the relevant EU Directive
2004/108/EC. However, under extreme electrostatic an electromagnetic
interference, e.g. when operating a radio or mobile phone in the imme-
diate vicinity of the device, the displayed value can be falsified. After
the interference has ended, the product can be used again as intended,
though it may be necessary to switch it on again.
The device is a measuring instrument. Drafts, vibrations, rapid changes
in temperature and direct sunlight can effect the weighing results.
The scale complies with protection class IP 54. High levels of humidity,
vapor, aggressive liquids and heavy dirt should be avoided.

Safety instructions

Please read the information contained in the operating instructions before
starting the device. This provides important advice on the installation,
correct usage and maintenance of the device.
The manufacturer accepts no liability if the following instructions are not
complied with. The devices are designed to be used indoors. The scale
meets the requirements for electromagnetic compatibility. Avoid exceeding
the maximum values specified in the standards. If problems arise, please
contact your Soehnle Professional service partner.
Cleaning
A damp cloth and commercially available cleaning agent are all that is
required. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
Maintenance
The technical control of measuring accuracy was carried out by the
manu facturer, The scale does not require routine maintenance. However,
it is advisable to check its accuracy at periodic intervals. The frequency of
such checks depends on the frequency of use and the state of the scale.
If you find any discrepancies (at 15 kg ≥ 50 g) you should contact your
dealer or the Soehnle Professional service partner. Repairs may only
be carried out by workshops authorized by Soehnle Professional using
original parts.
Warranty/liability
If there is a defect in the material delivered for which Soehnle Professional
is responsible, Soehnle Professional is entitled either to eliminate the de-
fect or to provide a replacement. Replaced parts become the property of
Soehnle Professional. If the repair or replacement fail to achieve satisfacto-
ry results, the relevant legal provisions shall apply. The warranty period is
2 years and starts on the day of purchase. Please keep the invoice as
proof. If you require service, please contact the dealer or Soehnle Profes-
sional Customer Service.
In particular, no warranty is offered on damage arising for the following
reasons: unsuitable, incorrect storage or use, faulty installation or com-
missioning by the client or by a third party, natural wear, modifications
or interventions, incorrect or negligent handling, particularly excessive
stress, chemical, electro-chemical or electrical influences or humidity,
insofar as these cannot be traced back to fault on the part of Soehnle
Professional. If operational, climatic or other influences lead to major
changes in conditions or in the state of the material, the warranty for the
correct overall function of the devices shall no longer apply. If Soehnle
Professional offers a guarantee on an individual basis, this means free-
dom from defects on the object delivered in the guarantee period. Keep
the original packaging in case it is necessary to return the scale.
Disposing of the scale
According to our current level of knowledge, the Baby Scale does not
contain any special materials that are
hazardous to the environment.
This product should not be treated as normal refuse, but should be re-
turned to a collection point for recycling electrical and electronic devices.
For further information, contact your local authority, the local waste dis-
posal businesses or the company from whom you pur-
chased the product.
Disposing of batteries: Batteries do not belong with
domestic waste.
As a consumer you are obliged by law to return used bat-
teries. You can return your used batteries to the public
collection points in your locality or wherever batteries of the relevant type
are sold. You will find the follow ing codes on batteries that contain haz-
ardous materials: Pb = Battery contains lead, Cd = Battery contains cadmi-
um, Hg = Battery contains mercury.
