10. Fix the foot to the socket (Figure 13)
a. Use Composite 1 adhesive that is provided with the foot kit, read all
information on the adhesive packaging.
NOTE: Adhesive working time is 1 minute.
b. Cut the tip of the adhesive mixer at 16 mm from the end.
c. Apply the adhesive generously onto the marked attachment surface
on the socket.
d. Attach the foot onto the marked attachment area and make any
small adjustment to ensure the alignment is correct.
e. Smooth the surface of any adhesive that has been pushed out
around the outside of the pylon.
f. Hold the socket in position for 1 minute, then leave for a further 5
minutes for the adhesive to set.
11. Apply adhesive around the outside of the pylon (Figure 14)
a. Apply adhesive generously onto the outside roughed surface of the
pylon and spread outwards onto the roughened surface of the
socket.
b. Smooth the finish of the adhesive and allow to set for 5 minutes.
12. Test alignment before f inal lamination (Figure 15)
a. Remove any foam spacers and tape before testing the alignment on
the patient.
b. If needed, minor adjustments can be made by shaping the
underside of the sole.
c. If the alignment needs further adjustment, grind/cut the foot off the
socket and make the desired changes before repeating steps 10 and
11.
d. If the alignment is good, proceed to laminate over the attachment
area onto the socket using carbon braid and a hand lay up.
NOTE: The mixing sprout for the adhesive is a single use. When reusing
the adhesive you need to replace it with a new mixing sprout.
WATERPROOF
A waterproof device allows use in a wet and/or humid environment and
temporary (<30 mins.) submersion of up to 1m in fresh water. Exposure
to fresh water under these circumstances shall have no harmful effect.
Dry thoroughly after contact with fresh water. Fresh water: Includes tap
water. Excludes salt and chlorinated water.
The components used with the foot need to be waterproof as well.
CAUTION: If the user notices any change of function or alignment of the
device, he should contact his healthcare practitioner.

USE ENVIRONMENT

• Environmental operating temperature: -10°C (+50°F) to 40° C (104°F).
• Operating humidity: 10%-95% Relative humidity.
• Shipping and storage temperature: -20°C- (-4°F) to 70°C (158° F).
LIABILITY
The manufacturer recommends using the device only under the specified
conditions and for the intended purposes. The device must be
maintained according to the instructions for use. The manufacturer is
not liable for damage caused by component combinations that were not
authorized by the manufacturer.
