5.5.3 SURGERY operating mode

Menu with micromotor withdrawn but not turned on.
• Press the left multifunction button (M1) to select one of the 4 pro-
grams available.
• Press the MENU button to change the operating mode:
• Press the right multifunction button ( ) to go to the submenu used
to edit the operating data.
• Use the increase and/or decrease buttons to modify the torque of the
burs.
The new value entered is automatically saved in the selected work
program (e.g. M1).
NOTE: Use the fast selection buttons to automatically set
the following values:
- MAX button: 100% of the maximum settable torque,
- MED button: 50% of the maximum settable torque,
- MIN button: 1% of the maximum settable torque.

• Press the left multifunction button (
to the maximum allowable one simultaneously selecting the ON/OFF
variation mode for the foot control switch.
NOTE: in order to quit this data item, go to the submenu used
to set the operating data and change the foot control switch over from
ON/OFF to linear speed variation mode.
• Press the MENU button to activate/deactivate an alarm signal once
the set maximum torque is reached.
The icon indicating the selected mode appears near the MENU
button.
- icon : alarm active
- icon : alarm not active
• Press the right multifunction button (
idling at maximum, the current torque value is set to value 0 (han-
dpiece calibration).
• Use buttons INCREASE and/or DECREASE to change the maximum
speed of the burrs.
Set up menu
Press the right multifunction button ( ) with the micromotor withdrawn
but not turned on, to go to the submenu containing the following icons
which indicate the settable functions:
Reduction ratio setting
Maximum speed setting
Speed variation mode
• Press the MENU button to scroll the icons until the desired function
is reached.
• Setting the reduction ratio
See paragraph 5.5.4.
• Maximum speed setting
Use the increase and/or decrease buttons to modify the highest
speed that can be reached.
NOTE: use the fast selection buttons to automatically set
the following values:
- MAX button: 100% of the maximum settable speed,
- MED button: 50% of the maximum settable speed,
- MIN button: 1% of the maximum settable speed.
• Speed variation mode
Use buttons INCREASE and/or DECREASE to select the speed
variation mode:
- icon : linear variation, proportional to movement of the foot control
switch
- icon : ON/OFF variation. The set maximum power is delivered
when the foot control switch is actuated.
• To confi rm the selections made, simply quit this submenu by pressing
multifunction button ESC.
