Turning the fi ber optic on/off.
• Set the instrument to its work position.
• Press the button
to turn on the fi ber optic.
NOTE: Icon ( A ) appears on the display to signal the fi ber optic
has been turned on.
• Adjust brightness with the "increase" (+) and/or "decrease" (-) buttons.
The set level is automatically saved.
Adjusting brightness of the fi ber optic.
• Hold down the button (at least 2 seconds) to adjust brightness of the fi ber
optic
.
• Use buttons INCREASE and/or DECREASE to adjust the brightness level.
NOTE: A value ranging from 1 to 16 can be set.
The following values can be set using the fast selection buttons:
- button "MAX": level 16,
- button "MED": level 8,
- button "MIN": level 1.
• To confi rm the selected brightness level, press multifunction button ESC
to quit this submenu.
NOTE: The fi ber optics shut off when the turbine is not used for 30
seconds (rheostat switch off).
Spray to instrument button
Use the foot control (see paragraph 5.2) to start the water spray to the
instrument. The type of spray delivered to the instrument can be selec-
ted with the relative button
. The type of system operation is signaled
by the relative icon (B) shown on the display console.
• Icon OFF: operation with spray water and air
• Icon ON: operation with spray water only
NOTE: if the foot control is set to bistable operation (see paragraph
5.2.1.), it is possible to set the instrument so that water spray is always
delivered during operation.
In this case, the type of operation is indicated by the icon ( D ) on the
console display:
• Icon OFF: operation without water spray.
• Icon ON: operation with water spray.
Reversing the micromotor.
Press REVERSE button
to reverse the direction in which the micro-
motor runs.
A beep is heard and the icon (C) appears on the display to signal the
direction of rotation has been reversed.
ATTENTION!
The beeper BEEPS to signal the direction is reversed after the micromotor has been removed.
NOTE:
When the rheostat's lever is actuated, the micromotor cannot reverse.
Removable cord
The turbine has a removable cord to ease cleaning (see paragraph 5.).
Cleaning and care.
Refer to the specifi c instructions furnished with the instrument.
ATTENTION!
• Do not soak the syringe in liquid disinfectants or detergents.
• Products not recommended: harsh products and/or products containing acetone, chlorine and sodium hypochlorites.
Disinfection.
Handpieces only: autoclave with steam at 135 °C (2 bar). Minimum time: 15 min.

Safety guidelines.
ATTENTION!
• Never put the contra angle on the micromotor while it is running.
• The chuck release button must be held down during operation!
Friction between the button and micromotor rotor overheats the head and may cause burns.
• The patient's internal tissues (tongue, cheeks, lips, etc...) must be protected against contact with the button by using suitable instruments
(mirror, etc...).
• The chucks and various instruments attached to the handpieces must comply to the standard ISO 10993-1 Biological evaluation of me-
dical devices.
