Make sure both the radio and the external device are
turned on.

Select the AUX in mode by repeatedly pressing the
Source button or using the radio's Main menu.

The audio output of the external device will now be
played through the speaker of the NETBOX. Playback
must be controlled on the external device, while the
volume can be controlled both on the radio and on the
external device.
Note:
After disconnecting the 3.5mm audio cable, close the
Aux in socket's rubber cover again to prevent moist
or dust from entering into the radio.

13. Tone control and Loudness feature

Your NETBOX features a Tone control and Loudness
feature that allow you to customize the sound of the radio
to your liking.

Configuring the radio's Tone control

To set up the radio's Tone control, follow these steps:
1.
Turn on the radio using the Power button.
2.
Press and hold the Volume knob to enter the Tone
control menu.
3.
Rotate the Tuning knob to select [Bass], [Mid], or
[Treble] and press the Tuning knob to confirm your
choice.
4.
Rotate the Tuning knob to select the level (in dB) for the
selected type of tones. The radio will apply any changes
you make to the level immediately, so that you can hear
the effect of the changes as you make them.
5.
Press the Tuning knob or wait approximately 5 seconds
to return to the Tone control submenu.

Enabling / disabling the Loudness feature

Simply press the Volume knob to enable or disable the
radio's Loudness feature.

14. Using the System settings menu

The System settings menu can be used to configure
the NETBOX. Follow these steps to access the System
settings menu:
1.
Turn on the radio using the Power button.
2.
Press and hold the Info / Menu button to open the menu
for the current mode.
3.
Rotate the Tuning knob to
select [System settings] and
press the Tuning knob to
open the menu.
The System settings menu
offers the following options:
● [Network]: Select this option to run the network
wizard, run PBC setup, configure the radio's network
connection, view and select available network

Factory reset
profiles, or view or clear the network settings.
● [Time / Date]: Select this option to set the time and
date manually, to set the source for automatically
updating the time and date, or to and set the time
format.
● [Inactive Standby]: Select this option to configure
the time after which the radio automatically switches
to the Standby mode when not being used.
● [Language]: Select this option to configure the
language in which the radio's menus are shown.
● [Factory reset]: Select this option to reset the radio
to the default factory settings. After confirmation, all
user settings and preset stations will be erased.
● [Software update]: Select this option to configure
whether the radio should occasionally check for
available software updates or to check for available
software updates.
● [Setup wizard]: Select this option to perform the
Setup wizard again, either right away or at the next
startup. Refer to chapter 3 "Getting started" for more
information on using the Setup wizard.
● [Info]: Select this option to view the radio's Spotify
version, Radio ID and Friendly Name.
● [Backlight]: Select this option to configure the
timeout for the radio's backlight and to set the
backlight brightness level for when the backlight is on
or dimmed.

Manually setting the time and date

Setting the radio's time and date works slightly different
from configuring most of the other radio's options and
features. If you would be unable to automatically update
the time and date using the DAB, FM or network, follow
these steps to manually set the time and date:
1.
Open the System settings menu using the three steps
previously described.
2.
Select [Time / Date] and
press the Tuning knob.
The Time / Date submenu
offers the following options:
● [Set Time / Date]: Select
this option to manually
configure the time and
date.
● [Auto update]: Select this option to select a source
for automatically updating the time and date.
● [Set format]: Select this option to select the 12 or
24 hour format.
If the [Update from Network] is selected under
[Auto update], the Time / Date submenu will also
show the following two options:
● [Set timezone]: Select this option to configure the
timezone.
● [Daylight savings]: Select this option to enable or
disable Daylight Savings Time (DST).
3.
Select [Set Time / Date] and press Tuning knob to
manually set the radio's time and date.
