Belt tightening

Instruction Manual
If the belts can move more than approx. 5 mm inward when pressing in the
middle between the belt pulleys, the belts must be tightened.
Loose belts will result in vibrations which transmit through the spindle to the
cut-off wheel, which may result in a poorer cutting quality.
The belts are tightened as follows:
Loosen the 4 screws on the black motor plate.
Pull the motor back until the belts are correctly tightened, i.e. they can
move approx. 5 mm in the middle between the belt pulleys.
Never tighten the belts harder, as this would result in a deflection of the
spindle arrangement, causing the cut-off wheel to become oblique in
Check that the belt pulleys are parallel to each other and tighten the
screws.
Adjust the connection between motor and spindle so that the latter is
tightened lightly.
If it is tightened too much it will, like when tightening the belts, result in a

deflection of the spindle.
