Operations
Disc Penetration Angle Control
Figure 5.2-4
The machine features a control 1 for variation of the
Upper Bead Breaker Disc penetration angle, to be
activated as required.
Operation:
After initial pressure of the Disc on the tyre, the operator
may realize that there are Disc penetration diffi culties
and from this position will then be able to modify the
penetration angle.
• From the Disc on tyre contact position, activate the
lever 1 downwards.
• Hold the control down for the entire time in which
you wish to vary the angle.
WARNING: If the wheel features the pressure sensor,
the control for the penetration angle variation must
be compulsorily released when the valve passes
on the bead breaker disc since the disc could hit
the sensor.
Lower Bead Breaking
To break the second bead, it may be necessary to
free the work area of the upper bead breaker arm;
especially for very wide wheels.
Proceed as follows:
Figure 5.2.-5
(If necessary) Activate the control 1 (Fig. 5.2-5) to
bring the Upper Bead Breaker Arm outside its work
area.
Lift control 4 (Fig. 5.2-4), to move the Lower Disc in
4
the bead breaking position to break the lower bead.
WARNING: CHECK THAT THE DISC IS CORRECTLY
POSITIONED ON THE SIDEWALL OF THE TYRE,
NEXT TO THE RIM
• Activate rotation and lubricate the bead breaking
area.
• Proceed with bead breaking as described for the
upper bead by activating the Disc up control.
Check the bead breaking status with the mirror at the
bottom of the post.
WARNING: IF NECESSARY, BEAD BREAKING CAN
BE AIDED BY USING THE VARIATION CONTROL OF
THE BEAD BREAKER DISC PENETRATION ANGLE
Note:
The Disc Penetration Angle variation
control can also be used for the lower
bead, (Control 1, Fig. 5.2-4).
• Activate control (5, Fig.5.2-4) to release the Bead
Breaker arms and move them out of the work area.
