Temperature and water sensor

Installation requirements
The sensor will signal an alarm when the temperature drops below the cold
potentiometer temperature (2°C to 14°C, default 8°C) setting for approximately 10 to
30 minutes.
The sensor will signal an alarm if the temperature rises above the hot potentiometer
temperature (20°C to 32°C, default 26°C) setting for approximately 10 to 30 minutes.
To monitor refrigerator or freezer temperatures, use a T280R temperature probe (not
included). Mount the DET8M on the room wall or ceiling, and the T280R inside the
refrigerator or freezer. The sensor will signal an alarm when the temperature rises
above the freezer (−18°C to −6°C, default −12°C) or refrigerator (2°C to −20°C,
default 11°C) potentiometer temperature setting for approximately 10 to 30 minutes
(ensure switch 5 is ON.)
For flood detection, use FP280 flood probes. Up to 4 can be used in parallel. One is
included with the DET8M. When the flood probe(s) detect water, the sensor will
signal an alarm within 60 seconds. Mount flood probes either vertically or flat on the
ground as close as possible to the potential flood source, and at the lowest level.
Mount flood or temperature probes within 5 meters (wire length) of the detector.
For intrusion detection, use a device with a normally closed contact that does not
require power, such as a magnetic contact. If using more than one contact,
connect them in series. The maximum total combined cable length must not
exceed 100 meters. Use a 10 kΩ resistor in the loop.
The sensor will signal an alarm as soon as a tamper or intrusion is detected.
Caution: Use the DET8M for property protection only. Do not rely on it for safety
of people.
How to install
1.
Remove the mounting plate from the sensor.
2.
Secure the mounting bracket to a wall
3.
Open the sensor. For surface wiring entry, a thin
breakout area is provided in the sensor's back cover
