9. If you would like to heat up or cook ingredients, set the desired temperature with the
Temp rotary knob.
If you push the heat button, only the contents of the mixing bowl will be heated only.
The cross-blade adapter is deactivated as a result.
10. Turn the Speed rotary knob to switch the cross-blade adapter on and off. Select a
speed that suits the meal you are preparing. Slowly increase the speed when setting
it. NOTE: Once the contents of the mixing bowl have reached a temperature of 60 °C
or more, the maximum speed level is 5.
The preselected operating time, heating temperature and speed level can be
changed at any time while preparing food. Turn the corresponding knob to do so.
If the preparation process ends before the set time elapsed as the result of the
Speed rotary knob being turned back in order to e.g. add an ingredient, the cur-
rent time will remain on the display until the device is switched back on.
11. Once the ingredients have been processed or cooked, switch the device off (fl ip the
On/Off switch to position 0) and pull the mains plug out of the socket.
12. If you would like to continue processing the ingredients after the set operating time
has elapsed, fi rst turn the Speed knob to 0 and then back to the desired speed.
13. Carefully take the mixing bowl out of the motor assembly, open it and remove the
food you are blending or cooking.
Chopping and blending
Once the contents of the mixing bowl have reached a temperature of 60 °C or
more, the speed levels are limited to 1 to 5. For this reason, cold ingredients are
suited for blending and chopping. The heat function should be switched off.
• Only use the cross-blade adapter without any additional accessories and follow the
instructions in the previous section "Basic use of the device".
• Select the speed levels 6 to 12 for coarse, fi ne and very fi ne results when chopping
and blending. Slowly move the Speed rotary knob to the desired position.
Push the pulse button P for short bursts at high speed (12), e.g. for chopping ice cubes.

ATTENTION!
■ Scalding hazard due to hot steam and hot condensation! Please note that hot
steam is emitted from the mixing bowl lid during operation. Be particularly careful
when removing the lid.
■ Burn hazard! The metallic surface of the mixing bowl becomes hot during operation.
Only grasp it by the handle or use kitchen gloves.
■ Never heat up the mixing bowl without any contents.
■ To prevent boiling over, do not insert the measuring cup in the lid opening when boil-
ing ingredients (especially cream or milk). Also do not use other objects to cover the
lid opening!
■ Do not exceed speed level 5 when the stirring attachment is mounted to prevent the
stirring adapter from being damaged.
■ The spatula must not be inserted when using the stirring adapter.
