Basic use of the device
ATTENTION!
■
Burn hazard! The metallic surface of the mixing bowl becomes hot during operation.
Do not touch it or use kitchen gloves.
■
Scalding hazard due to hot steam and hot condensation! Please note that hot
steam is emitted from the mixing bowl lid during operation. Be particularly careful
when removing the lid and when using the steamer unit.
■
Risk of injury associated with sharp blades! Never touch the blades of the cross-
blade adapter. Hold it on the top end when inserting and removing it.
■
Risk of damage due to insuffi cient cooling! Never place the motor assembly on
a soft base. The vents on the bottom of the device must not be covered. Otherwise,
the device could be damaged.
■
Before you use the device, make sure that all parts of the device are properly seated.
■
Make sure that you do not exceed the maximum fi lling capacity (MAX mark in the
mixing bowl)!
■
Never leave the device running when unattended.
■
Please note that the entire device may, under certain circumstances, move when pre-
paring doughs and chopping foods due to a resulting imbalance in the mixing bowl.
■
Do not overload the device! Do not prepare a solid dough in the device (e.g. yeast
dough) and do not prepare more than 500 g of dough. Only use the pulse button to
chop hard foods (e.g. ice cubes).
■
Never heat the empty mixing bowl!
■
Before you use the device, read the chapter "Using the accessories properly".
1. Place the motor assembly on a work area:
– Choose an area which is dry, clean and level work area that cannot be heated up.
– Be sure to maintain suffi cient distance to the edge of the work area to ensure that
the device does not fall during operation, and to other heat sources, e.g. stovetops.
– There should also be clearance over the device (to cupboards and cabinets) and
on the sides in order to prevent any damage from any hot steam that is emitted.
– Also select a place where you can conveniently operate the device.
2. Make sure that the suction feet properly stick to the underlying surface.
3. Insert the mains plug in a properly installed socket that is easily accessible.
4. Make sure that the cross-blade adapter is properly fi xed in the mixing bowl. If you
would like to use additional accessories, e. g. for stirring and steaming, follow the
instructions in the chapter "Using the accessories properly".
5. Add the ingredients to the mixing bowl as desired. Do not exceed the MAX mark in
the mixing bowl! You will fi nd some ideas for recipes at the end of this instruction
manual.
6. Secure the lid on the mixing bowl and insert it in the motor assembly. If necessary,
close the lid opening with the enclosed measuring cup. For this, follow the instruc-
tions in the chapter "Using the accessories properly".
7. Turn on the motor assembly by fl ipping the On/Off switch to position I.
8. If you want the device to switch off automatically after a certain period of time, set the
time with the Time rotary knob. Otherwise, you should proceed with the next step.
