ATTENTION!
■ Never use force to open the lid when the mixing bowl is locked! Only remove the
mixing bowl lid after taking the mixing bowl out of the motor assembly.
To remove the mixing bowl lid, follow the steps for putting it on in reverse order:
1. Use your thumb to pull the slider off away from the lid to unlock it.
2. Hold the slider tight and take the lid off of the mixing bowl.

ATTENTION!
■ To prevent boiling over, do not insert the measuring cup in the lid opening when
steaming and cooking food (especially cream or milk). Only insert it when puréeing
food at a high setting to prevent food from spraying out or if you cook at low cooking
temperatures!
You can seal the opening in the lid with the measuring cup. This will prevent heat loss
and the food being blended and cooked from spraying out.
During operation, you can remove the measuring cup to add other ingredients or larger
quantities of liquid.

1. First place the mixing bowl lid
at the spout of the mixing bowl.
Insert the spout through the
slot in the lid.
2. Push the lid down until it audi-
bly locks into place under the
slider on the mixing bowl han-
dle.
• Insertion: Place the measur-
ing cup with its opening facing
down in the lid opening and
turn it clockwise until tight.
• Removal: Turn the measuring
cup counterclockwise and take
it out of the lid opening.
