Safety factors
If the system is defective, it must not be operated until
the defects have been repaired and proper functioning has
been restored.
No structural changes may be made to the system and
only original STORCH spare and add-on parts may be
used.
General instructions
Intended use
The ColorFree TOP separating system is used exclusively
for treating waste water from water-based coating mate-
rials (e.g. dispersion paints, varnishes and glazes, etc.)
which is produced, for example, when cleaning painting
tools and equipment, or washing out containers.
The laws on the protection of bodies of water require the
wastewater that occurs in decorating businesses to be tre-
ated. The system program is specially designed for use in
decorating businesses.
Place of use
The ColorFree TOP is designed for use in painters' work-
shops.
Operation in areas with a risk of explosive atmosphere is
prohibited. Ensure good and regular ventilation on site.
Transport
The system is made of various powder-coated metals.
Mechanical strength for industrial applications is given.
However, it is important to avoid impact and knocks
during transport.
Translation of the original operating instructions
Avoid lifting the unit at the upper washbasin rim and rear
wall as well as pulling or pushing the unit The system can
be optimally transported and positioned with a lift truck.
Damage due to incorrect transport is not covered by the
warranty.
Maintenance
Perform maintenance work only with the machine swit-
ched off. No objects may be placed or stored in the reac-
tion tank. The operator is responsible for the electrical
safety of the equipment and must have the system che-
cked for this at least once a year. Repairs may only be
carried out by authorised and trained STORCH staff or by
a STORCH service partner.
Factory settings
No factory settings (e.g., motor, pump, control, etc.) may
be changed in order to ensure the best possible perfor-
mance of the system.
Personnel qualification
For your own safety: The device must
- be used only by persons who have been instructed in its
use and who have been expressly tasked with its opera-
tion
- not be used by children
- not be used under the influence of alcohol, drugs or
medication

- System operation is subject to applicable national legis-
lation. In addition to the operating instructions and the
mandatory accident prevention regulations applicable
in the country of use, the recognised technical rules
for safe and proper work must also be observed. Work
which could endanger the safety of the system or per-
sons must not be carried out.
Personal protective equipment
"Personal protective equipment" (PPE) includes
- Protective clothing
- Protective gloves
- Protective eyewear
- Respiratory protection
PPE must be provided by the system owner and used by
operating staff.
