Putting into operation
The battery is screwed to the housing with a locking screw.
The FC4 (L) Ex (HS) has its own and specially equipped charger with its own
plug-in power supply unit. Other chargers and plug-in power supply units – e.g.
those intended for the FC4 (L) – must not be used for charging the
FC4 (L) Ex (HS).
Making phone calls / messaging
Operation of the telephone and messaging functions are the same for the unit
versions FC4 (L) and FC4 (L) Ex (HS).
Technical data
The explosion-proof versions FC4 (L) Ex / FC4 (L) Ex HS have a larger hou-
sing, a slightly higher weight and slightly shorter talking and stand-by times
than the FC4 (L) handset.

As compared with the FC4 (L) handset, the explosion-proof FC4 (L) Ex /
FC4 (L) Ex HS versions have available the following accessories:
