Solo Range - User Information
Solo P
Single speed "ON/OFF". Controlled either by integral pullcord switch or by remote switch, (eg. light switch or Auto-Sensor).
Note: When wired to a remote switch the fan pullcord must be switched to the "OFF" position and the pullcord removed.
Solo DP
Dual speed. Continuous low speed running for permanent "trickle" ventilation. High speed override controlled either by integral pullcord switch
or by remote switch, (eg. light switch or Auto-Sensor). When wired to a remote switch, the pullcord should be set to give low speed running
when the remote switch is "OFF". Conceal the pullcord inside the fan casing. No permanent "OFF" position.
Note: When wired to a remote switch it is possible to connect the unit to achieve OFF/low speed operation (in place of dual speed operation).
See Fig. 2 NOTE.
Solo T
Single speed with overrun timer. The fan must be wired to a remote switch (eg. light switch). When switched "ON" the fan will operate at full
speed and will continue to run for a pre-set time (adjustable 5-25 minutes) after the switch is turned "OFF".
Solo TM2
P.I.R. (PASSIVE INFRA-RED) controlled single speed fan with adjustable overrun timer (pre-set at approx. 15 minutes).
When the room is entered the P.I.R. will be triggered and the fan will run at full speed. When the room is vacated, the fan will continue to
function for a pre-set time (adjustable 2 1 / 2 - 25 minutes).
TIMER ADJUSTMENT - BEFORE ADJUSTING TIMER ISOLATE FAN FROM MAINS SUPPLY. Remove the grille by loosening the fixing
screw in the middle of the grille. Turn the knob on the end of the control pack clockwise to increase the set time, anti-clockwise to decrease
the set time. Each quarter turn is equal to approximately 5 minutes. It must be stressed that to ensure reliability of the P.I.R. sensor, the fan
must not be mounted above or near a heat source or point directly into the sunlight.
N.B. On each occasion that the power to the fan is initially switched on, the Solo TM2 will require a short period (approximately 5 minutes) to
acclimatise to the enviroment. During this time the adjuster on the Solo TM2 should be turned fully anti-clockwise. In this position the fan will
overrun for only 10 seconds when triggered to assist the installer in ensuring that the controller has settled into its normal operational mode.
The timer adjuster should then be returned to its original mid point to give an adequate overrun of the fan each time the P.I.R. is triggered.
Solo HTP
HTP controller with humidity sensor, overrun timer and pullcord override. The humidity sensor is factory set to switch on at 75%RH and can
be adjusted between 65% RH and 90% RH.
To INCREASE the switch on humidity level (Max. 90%RH) use a small screwdriver to turn the adjuster CLOCKWISE. This REDUCES the
sensitivity.
To DECREASE the switch on humidity level (Min.65%RH) use a small screwdriver to turn the adjuster ANTI-CLOCKWISE. This RAISES the
sensitivity.
Overrun timer note the LS must be connected to a remote switch (e.g Light switch) For the timer to work. When the remote switch is turned
"ON" the fan will run for a pre-set time of 17 minutes +/- 3 minutes after the switch is turned "OFF". At the end of this overrun period the fan
will revert to humidity sensor operation.
Pullcord override switches the fan on, When switched again, the humidity sensor operation comes into effect.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS (ALL models)
Apart from removing stale and moist air, your Vent-Axia fan also extracts airborne impurities such as dirt, dust and material fibres. These
gradually build up and detract from the efficiency and appearance of your fan. Your Vent-Axia Solo fan is designed for easy cleaning and to
ensure peak performance, this should be carried out regularly.
Simply flick out the filter from the underside of the grille using a small screwdriver or similar implement.
Brush off any loose dust and fluff before washing in warm soapy water using a mild detergent.
Leave to dry prior to refitting. When sliding the filter back into the grille, ensure that it fully engages with the locators in the grille. When fully
secured, the bottom of the filter wil be flush with the underside of the grille.
