2. Utilization directions
2.1 General
- The devices are constructed at the point in time of their development as state of the arts and are fail-safe. The
devices can however be dangerous, if they are operated by non-specialist trained personnel, incorrectly or not as
directed.
- The operational safety is only guaranteed if the device is utilized as directed and in agreement with these operating.
- Utilization and maintenance must always be carried out according to the regional or state legislation. Take note of the
safety, environmental and accident prevention regulations!
- The devices must only be operated in an operational secure and technically perfect condition. Perfect functionality
and the existence of all safety equipment for the device must be checked regularly.
- Labels fitted onto the device must always easily readable. The operator is responsible for the fact that the data plates
with technical date, safety, warning and operating instructions are not removed, are undamaged and easily readable.
- Laid down adjustment values or adjustment settings must be absolutely adhered to.
- Avoid that cable clamp contact each other – danger of short-circuiting!!!
- Avoid tensile loading of the electrical cables – plugs should never be tugged from the socket with the cable!
- Always return the cable onto the device designed storage position after utilization.
- If there are any further questions concerning the points described here then please make enquiries at the factory.
- It is forbidden to utilize the device except as directed and/or with significant difference to the above described this is
deemed to be incorrect utilization.
- Claims of any type vis-à-vis the manufacturer and/or his representatives, from resulting damage caused by incorrect
utilization are out of the question.
- The operator is to be held responsible for all damages caused by incorrect utilization.
2.2 Specific utilization regulations
The described Booster has been generally designed as a mobile, network independent jump-start facility for vehicles
with a discharged battery with an on-board network of 12 or 24 volts.
In addition the Booster can be utilized as an external energy source in the course of exchanging the battery. This
ensures that the most important electronic data (radio code, memory functions, adjustments (for example the clock)
remain stored.
The Booster can also be utilized as a mobile 12 Volt electrical supply.

3. Scope of delivery

The articles 550.1710 and 550.1720 are supplied with the following components:
1x Booster basic device
1x Automatic charging device
1x Cable with cigarette lighter connection
1x Operating instructions
Upon receipt of the device it must be checked for completeness and for any possible transport damage.

3.1 Spare parts

- Only use original spare parts or spare parts released by the manufacturer!
- The manufacturer must only carry out installation of spare parts or specialist trained personnel.
ATTENTION: Incorrect or damaged spare parts can lead to damage, malfunctions, and accidents or to total
breakdown of the device.
If non-released spare parts are utilized then all guarantees, service, compensation and liability claims vis-à-vis the
manufacturer, his representatives, dealers and agents are null and void.
4. Controls
-
Prior to every device start-up a visual check must be carried out so that leakages, damages, loose, missing or worn
parts can be determined.
- Check - if existing - the safety equipment for the device.
- Every device where there is the suspicion that it has been overloaded or does not function perfectly, must be
immediately switched off and exchanged.
