Device description
The electronic digital thermometer from SIKA is a forward-looking measuring instrument
with extremely low-level power consumption. The DiTemp is supplied with energy from a
lithium battery which has a service life of approx. 10 years.
The DiTemp functions according to a time-discrete measurement process. The cycle time of
each measurement is 3 s; this ensures that a current value can always be read, even in pass-
ing. An active indicator ( "

1.1 Intended use

The electronic digital thermometer DiTemp is a local temperature measuring instrument
which has been designed for measuring and displaying temperatures.
The operational safety of the supplied thermometer is only guaranteed if it is operated ac-
cording to its intended use. The specified limit values ( § 10 "Technical Data") should never
be exceeded.
CAUTION! Risk of injury or material damage!
The DiTemp should not be exposed to improper mechanical stress.
 Never use the DiTemp as a handle, foothold or something like that.
Prior to installation, ensure whether the material of the DiTemp is suitable for the medium
which is to be measured ( § 10 "Technical Data").

Safety instructions

Before you install the DiTemp, read through this operating manual carefully. If the in-
structions contained within it are not followed, in particular the safety guidelines, this
could result in danger for people, the environment, and the device and the system it is
connected to.
The DiTemp correspond to the state-of-the-art technology. This concerns the accuracy, the
operating mode and the safe operation of the device.
In order to guarantee that the device operates safely, the operator must act competently and
be conscious of safety issues.
SIKA provides support for the use of its products either personally or via relevant literature.
The customer verifies that our product is fit for purpose based on our technical information.
With this verification all hazards and risks are transferred to our customers; our warranty is
not valid.
Qualified personnel:
The personnel who are charged for the installation, operation and maintenance of the
DiTemp must hold a relevant qualification. This can be based on training or relevant tui-
tion.
The personnel must be aware of this operating manual and have access to it at all times.
