1 Device description
The battery-powered digital thermometer DiTemp DT3 is designed for temperature meas-
urement of liquid and gaseous media.
The various possible combinations of display unit and temperature sensor enable a wide
range of applications.

1.1 Intended use

The electronic digital thermometer DiTemp DT3 is a locally indicating temperature measuring
instrument and may only be used to measure and display temperatures.
WARNING! No safety component!
The digital thermometers of the series DiTemp DT3 are no safety components in accord-
ance with Directive 2006/42/EC (Machine Directive).
 Never use the device as a safety component.
The operational safety of the device supplied is only guaranteed by intended use. The speci-
fied limits ( § 9 "Technical data") may under no circumstances be exceeded.
CAUTION! Risk of injury or material damage!
The device can become very hot during operation and must not be exposed to improper
mechanical stress.
 Never touch the hot device or the hot measuring insert.
 Never use the device as a handle, tread or similar.
Before installation, check whether the materials of the device are suitable for the application
( § 9 "Technical data").

1.2 Exclusion of liability

We accept no liability for any damage or malfunctions resulting from incorrect installation, in-
appropriate use of the device or failure to follow the instructions in this operating manual.
